I also like soundtracks for their orchestral and dynamic cinematic characteristics. The best music tells a story and I believe that with Gospel music, we’re telling the best story anyone could hear. How well we tell it is based on a song’s scriptural reference, directly or indirectly; and how creative we can be musically with melody, structure, and chord progression. I have to have something interesting to listen to musically…that’s what’s memorable to me, and those type of songs stand the test of time.” - Deacon J
